finding a contractor

This is a relatively easy task. Type in residential remodeling plus your city for the city you desire to have the work done in. We are firm believers in making small communities grow. Mom and pop based businesses are a growing and thriving market. 9 times out of 10 if a company has taken the time to create a website and advertise locally they are not a fly by night. If you want hi end and multiple years of experience get ready to spend a little extra for what you want. There are many companies out there with less than 20 years of experience that are ready to give you a great product and guarantee their work.
Get a few bids to compare prices. Hell get 5 of them. If you got 3 that are very close that is probably what it should cost you. A really low bid is not always your best bet. Most of all get it in writing. There is nothing wrong with asking questions and suggesting ideas to improve a better quality or longer lasting product. You are paying for it and it is your home, one of the largest investments you may ever make in your lifetime.
That being said remember all improvements are part of an investment to get some sort of a return at a later date. There are some areas you can cut in. Dont ever take away from quality of craftsmanship. It takes the average person 6-8 years to hone in on their specialty.
As always make yourself comfortable in your surroundings and what better way to do so than customizing them to your own personal desires.

Home Repairs Dallas Texas

Kens Contracting is a small company in Dallas Texas. We started out working on rental properties in 1999. We then added little jobs here and there leading into full home remodels, kitchens/ bathrooms the works. We had done some framing and pitching roofs along the way along with additions. One thing led to another and we tore a house all the way down to its foundation, level to the ground. Next thing I know we were building houses back, bigger and more beautiful, got several more to follow and it just escalated into what we are today. I over-simplified that but it just seemed like everything fell into place. I personally got on the internet, read books, watched other contractors and made a few mistakes along the way. I was once told that "if you aint making mistakes boy you aint learnin'." I sure took that to heart and did everything along the way to only make a mistake once. I am sure some of my customers can vouch for me having said "I hate doing things twice". Most everyone can look back and say they remember a specific thing that they did well. My personal was the house we built on Park Lane. I think I was just in a groove. There was no such thing as no or stop. We pushed right on through checking and double checking our work along the way. I really feel like I can pat myself on the back and say if I never accomplish anything else, I can always go back and look at that house. Standing over a humming saw the smell of pine and cedar, gently guiding that next cut to be used. If you dont know that feeling that overwhelms you I truly hope you get it, in whatever it is that is your passion.
